New Programs Launch on January 7

Discover knitting

In keeping with our mission to support lifelong learning, we are launching a new series of maker-focused programs in 2019. Our community survey helped determine what you'd most like to see, and craft skills such as knitting topped the list. January's Open Making sessions will bring expert knitting mentors from our community together on selected Monday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Our mentors can guide beginners as they get started and help intermediate knitters troubleshoot their latest project. The Social Knitting Group, meeting on Wednesday evenings at the Isabel Turner Branch, welcomes knitters of all levels. Bring your own knitting, or participate in a knit-along project. Don't forget to browse our collection — we have resources to help you learn new techniques and inspire you with new knitting patterns.
