Poetry Writing Workshop: Renga Poetry & Leonard Cohen

Poetry Writing Workshop Renga Poetry and Leonard Cohen

Renga is a genre of Japanese collaborative poetry — verse written by multiple authors in conversation. After a discussion of Leonard Cohen's work, Jason Heroux will show how to initiate a series of renga poems in response to Cohen's poetry. Offered in conjunction with the February 25 Grand OnStage presentation of Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal's Dance Me, itself inspired by the work of Leonard Cohen.

Free to emerging and practising poets aged 14 and older, but seating is limited. To avoid disappointment please register in advance, online at calendar.kfpl.ca or by phone at (613) 549-8888. Saturday, February 22, at Central, 1 p.m.
