Books and Beers returns to the 3rd floor of The Grad Club this Wednesday. This month we will be talking about fiction and non-fiction related to Black History Month!

King Con is Kingston’s preeminent festival of comics, gaming, sci-fi, fantasy, and other exciting forms of fandoms. This year, King Con will take place from Friday, March 8 to Sunday, March 10 with events at five downtown Kingston venues. Whether you geek out for cool demonstrations, tabletop gaming, interesting speakers, special children’s programming, cosplay, or other fantastic activities, King Con will have something for you!

Thinking of planting a tree on your property, or about taking one down?  Maybe you're concerned about a neighbour's tree, or one on municipal property.  Or would you like to honour someone with a Memorial Tree?  Come learn about Kingston's Forest Management Plan, Community Orchard and Edible Forest Policy, and revised Tree Bylaw.  Free to all adults but seating is limited. Members of all communities are welcome to attend this meeting to discuss the formation of an Indigenous Advisory Council at KFPL. The IAC will guide the library in developing Indigenous collections, programming, resources and spaces. This is a unique opportunity for attendees to help shape this exciting initiative. Takes place at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, February 27, at Calvin Park branch.
