Are you an emerging or practising poet (aged 14 and up) who is interested in an hour’s online mentorship with Kingston Poet Laureate Jason Heroux? To apply for one of five one-on-one sessions in April and May, please submit a sample of your poetry (5 to 12 pages) to poetlaureate@cityofkingston.ca by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 9.  Jason will review all the submissions and schedule one-on-one Zoom meetings with five poets. Please review carefully the dates and full submission details.

The New Adult Advisory Board, or, NAAB, is a volunteer opportunity for community members aged 18 to 30 interested in helping library staff develop and deliver library programming and services for other new adults. The NAAB meets online once a month and currently contributes to such programs as Book Chat, May We Suggest, and our Constellations lecture series. If you are passionate about literacy, your public library, and its role in the community, then the New Adult Advisory Board is the volunteer opportunity for you!
