KFPL’s Reading Buddies program exists to nurture the developing literacy skills of young readers through one-one-one reading support and fun literacy activities. This year, Reading Buddies will be facilitated online with Zoom from August 10 to 14.

Grownup Storytime is back, but now in digital form until our branches reopen. Relax at home and listen to a couple of short readings -- short stories, essays, articles, excerpts and more. Sit down with your lunch or your knitting, or just take a break from your busy day.  Why should kids have all the fun?

KFPL is looking for teen volunteers to assist library staff as we provide reading support and facilitate fun literacy activities for developing readers in Grades 1 through 3. This year, the program will be offered virtually through the Zoom streaming service, so we will also be exploring digital literacy! Please visit our volunteering page for more information.
