Coder Dojo returns to our Youtube channel on October 1 with the first in a new series of videos that will teach you how to code with HTML to build your own website!

Do you want to to learn what experts in diverse fields of science do, and why they are so passionate about it? Women in Science at Queen's (WISQ) and KFPL invite Kingston and Frontenac Teens to join us on Zoom for a panel discussion featuring a number of career scientists speaking about their work. Attendees will learn about the joys, challenges, and educational requirements from scientists working in diverse fields. In addition to representatives from Medical Science, Applied Physics, and Social and Psychological Science, attendees will also hear from a Queen's scientist virologist who will explain the science behind the COVID-19 pandemic.

Science writer Lindsey Carmichael introduces primary and secondary sources, as well as strategies for vetting research into emotionally-loaded topics -- like climate change and vaccination -- in the age of Google and “fake news”. Your chance during Science Literacy Week for expert advice in tackling the challenges you experience in your own writing!

Grownup Storytime is back, still in digital form until in-person programming resumes.  Relax at home and listen to a couple of short readings – stories, essays, articles, excerpts and more. Sit down with your lunch or your knitting, or just take a break from your busy day. Why should kids have all the fun?
