Kingston's annual festival of adventurous sound performance, Tone Deaf, and KFPL are pleased to present an afternoon of experimental music and live improvisation responding to the "graphic scores" produced by youth at Tone Deaf & KFPL's earlier "Graphic Score Composition Workshop." At that workshop youth participants worked with local musicians and composers to compose musical notation with drawings and collaged visual media. At this concert, acclaimed musical improvisers from Toronto, Germaine Liu and Nicole Rampersaud, will perform the workshop scores in addition to original pieces.

Learn why it's so important to have a will and Power of Attorney.  Local lawyers will go over the elements of a will, what happens when someone dies without one, what powers of attorney are, and what to consider in estate planning.  Questions will be welcome, but no legal advice will be provided. KFPL is partnering again with Kingston NaNoWriMo to offer space for anyone taking part in the annual nation-wide challenge to write 50,000 words during National Novel Writing Month. Come meet with fellow participants and get a little work done in a fun, supportive space with WiFi, outlets and possibly snacks. Two final Monday sessions:  Monday, November 18, Calvin Park at 2 p.m. and Monday, November 25, Central at 2 p.m.  Drop in for adults and teens; no registration required.

Award-winning author Jean Rae Baxter presents participants from the Sharbot Lake session of Telling Your Story: Seniors' Writing Workshop Series.
