Honestly Ben by Bill Konigsberg

It’s semester two and Ben has put all the stuff from last semester with Raph behind him. He's completely focused on school, athletics, and getting scholarships so he can actually go to college, something no one in his family has achieved. After receiving a prestigious award from school he meets a girl named Hannah from the girls’ school in town, and then he gets voted captain of the baseball team. Just as he had said, Raph is in the past. Until he isn't.

Honestly Ben is very well put. It covers identity exploration that is very frank, and doesn't sugar-coat. It explains that sexuality is not black and white, and we can't spend our entire lives trying to make everyone happy. We need to make ourselves happy as well.
