Lady Bird (DVD)

This spectacular coming-of-age film goes through the ups and downs of the life of a low-income family living in Sacramento, a prosperous city. Christine "Lady Bird" McPherson struggles to get good grades in high school, form healthy school relationships, get along with her mother, and apply to universities. Lady Bird realizes that her senior year is coming to an end, and she wants to experience every last thing she can before moving far away in order to leave Sacramento and all her bad memories behind, so she gets boyfriends, gets popular, and makes a few bad decisions along the way. She also tries to fix her relationship with her mother and make money to help her struggling family keep up with the expenses of attending Catholic school.

I loved this DVD; it gave a great representation of the high school experience. The indie film genre completed the film, though there were quite a few storylines cut short that I would have liked to see completed. I would recommend this movie to anybody who enjoys coming-of-age films.
