The Story of the Horse, the Boy, the Mole, and the Fox is a heartwarming tale about a lost boy searching for a place to call home. He is joined by three animals: a horse, a mole, and a fox. Although the story appears to be childish, it offers a deep understanding of life's journey, love, failure, and success, making it valuable for both children and adults.
This was the first book I started reading for my reviews, and I can't describe the pain I felt while reading it. The book is insightful but carries a lonely, melancholic vibe. The characters are ambitionless, which might make the story feel boring at times. Despite its downsides, the book provides beautiful lessons that can slightly shift your perspective on life's events, making it informative, even for me.
In general, this book is worth reading, but considering its storytelling weaknesses, there are better options available. Currently, there is an animated version of the book, but I prefer the book.
