This movie is a very action-packed PG13 movie about Arthur, who is a half-breed between an Atlantean and a human, and how he became the holder of the mighty trident as well as how he became the king of Atlantis. This movie does a great job of introducing the characters, as you can easily work out who the protagonists and antagonists of the film are within the first 30 minutes of the movie. I feel that this allowed me to enjoy the action scenes much more, as I knew why they were fighting, as opposed to watching meaningless fight scenes. The story flowed very well, switching between Arthur and his brother’s character development. This development allowed the final battle to transition smoothly, piquing my interest further. Another aspect which made the final battle more impactful was the fact that Arthur and his brother had very contrasting goals, in which his brother tried to initiate a war to overtake the people above water, while Arthur tried to stop the war. Overall, I enjoyed both hours of the movie, beginning to end. Definitely worth watching in my opinion, and a good choice for an action movie.
