Taron Egerton was an amazing choice to play the music superstar Elton John. The movie plays as a full story of Elton's rise to fame and his struggles and successes. Taron Egerton's voice is very comparable to Elton's and does a wonderful performance as the singer. The actor spent some time at Elton's residence to know what his lifestyle was like and I think it really paid off. I think he was able to show what Elton's life was like from the beginning. However, the movie is just way too boring. The movie is basically just a bunch of music videos put into a movie. I think the movie should have played more just as a film and should've ignored music except for a few scenes. For any Elton John fan, they will likely be very intrigued, but for others who don't know much about his life and music will likely be bored.
