KFPL launches a new series in partnership with Queen's Centre for Neuroscience Studies (CNS):  Brain Storm. Each month CNS students will discuss their research into the inner workings of the brain. This month Caroline Wallace returns with her popular talk on how diet and nutrition can affect our mental health through the microbes in our gut, in The Gut-Brain Axis:  Fact or Fiction? KFPL is proud to announce a new partnership with Queen's Reads, the campus-wide reading program facilitated by the Student Engagement Office at Queen's University. KFPL will serve as a satellite location for Queen's Reads, making multiple copies of the book and discussion groups available to members of the Kingston and Frontenac community beyond Queen's University. Borrow The Boy on the Beach now in advance of our facilitated book discussion on February 5.

Kingston’s preeminent festival of comics, gaming, sci-fi, fantasy, and other exciting forms of fandoms will return to KFPL’s Central branch from Friday, April 3, to Sunday, April 5, 2020. Save the date for exciting guests and speakers, cool workshops, loads of gaming, and the return of our riveting Kosplay Contest! At this point, we invite applications from local artists and artisans who are interested in participating in our vendors' fair, as well as expressions of interest from those who feel they can offer an event-appropriate talk, workshop, or demonstration.
