KFPL Adult Summer Reading Challenge

KFPL Adult Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge is back… and this year we’ve added a twist! This summer, we’re inviting you to join us on Goodreads for weekly reflection, discussion, and engagement with fellow patrons in response to a weekly theme. We know it’s been a strange, often isolating year, and we want to keep the challenge simple so we can all focus on meaningful engagement, interaction, and sharing with one another!

Every Monday beginning July 5, we will post a new theme and a new discussion question in our Goodreads Summer Reading Challenge group, and then we’ll take it from there. You will need a Goodreads account to participate, but the questions, discussions, and opinions you contribute to our Goodreads group are only visible to your fellow challenge participants, and all participants must possess a KFPL library card to access the group.

Of course, great conversation is its own reward, but we’ve also got prizes! All who participate in a weekly discussion will be entered into that week’s random draw for a great prize, provided your contribution was written in response to the weekly discussion question during the week in question. And at the end of the summer we will go big with a random draw for a grand prize-winner from all who have participated over the course of the summer!

So… how do you sign up? Simply register with an active library card and your email address on the KFPL Calendar and within 2 business days you will receive an invite to join KFPL’s closed Summer Reading Challenge group on Goodreads. After that, join the fun and check in regularly to see where the conversation is going!
