Join the Fun with the TD Summer Reading Club!

Get ready for a summer full of stories, fun and prizes with the TD Summer Reading Club at KFPL!

Pre-readers (ages 0–5) and school-age kids (ages 6–12) can track their reading and complete fun activities on Beanstack to earn badges and enter monthly prize draws. The Grand Prize—a $100 Indigo gift card and a goody basket—will be awarded to one participant in each age group who completes the TD Summer Reading Club! Kids are encouraged to visit the library weekly to share their reading, collect a sticker and put their name up on the Wall of Achievement. Sign up now on Beanstack and start your summer reading adventure! Thank you to the Friends of the Library for supporting summer reading programs at KFPL. 

The challenge runs until Sunday, Aug. 24.

Building a Mystery with Live History

Something mysterious this way comes...

Join Live History on November 7 to build a mystery to stump friends and family, or learn how to become a sleuth during your favourite mystery programs!

Participants who are fans of mystery novels, shows and theatre will learn how to build a mystery while learning about their local history in a way they have never seen it before.

Mysteries include lessons in math, patterns, language and visual arts. This mystery-building workshop is hands-on, interactive, and wildly fun!

For ages 8 and up with an adult caregiver. Adult caregivers must attend with children who are ages 8 to 13. Teens may attend without a caregiver.

Date: Saturday, November 7

Times: 1:30-2:30 PM and 3:00-4:00 PM

Love Wildlife Lesson on Kindness Toward Wild Animals

Animal enthusiasts unite!

Join Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre for a special storytime and a lesson about being kind to animals!

This program is recommended for ages 4 and up. Registration is now open!
